There were two separate photos this week — hoorah! — so here’s my initial reactions to each.

Photoshoot 1: Clothing (in order of my favorite to least favorite)

Alyce – Lovely face, lovely eyes, lovely half-smile.  A bit on the boring side, compared to some of her other shots, but still a good photo.

Caris – This girl is really starting to grow on me, but she does look a bit older than her age in this one.  Other than that, absolutely no complaints… it’s a beautiful shot.

Samantha – She is definitely improving week to week, and you can see her confidence shine through in this photos.  Her mouth looks a bit “off,” but she has lovely eyes that really stand out in this shot.

Alexandra – I’m not particularly a fan of this one.  It reminds me of senior portrait photos — kind of common and catalogue-like — and there really doesn’t seem to be anything going on behind her eyes at all.

Demelza – Something about her eyes in this shot REALLY bothers me.  They really don’t seem symmetrical.  Anyone else notice that her left eye (on the right of the photo) looks a bit bigger than the right?  Also, it doesn’t seem like she’s really working it in this shot… just sort of sitting there and looking pretty.

Rebecca – Yikes… someone’s looking rather masculine today!  I’m not sure if it’s the outfit, or the pose, or the hair, or a combination of all factors, but she does not look the least bit feminine in this shot.

Photoshoot 2: Tigerlily Swimsuit Shot (in order of my favorite to least favorite)

Caris – Wow.  This looks like it could be right out of a magazine.  Her eyes are incredibly intense, and though I’m far too practical to ever buy a strapless swimsuit, this photo kind of makes me want to.  My only minor complaint is that the angle of her right arm makes it look a bit dis-proportionally small.  Other than that, fabulous.

Samantha - Her exotic look is fabulous for this shot, and her photo is a very, VERY close second.  She has fabulous eyes and is definitely showing a softer side here.

Demelza – My first instinct was that I really liked it… but…  You can’t see the swimsuit, so perhaps it defeats the purpose a bit… and really I think a lot of the appeal is due to spectacular photography and editing… and Dem has a severe lack of neck here which is quite unfortunate.  So, it’s good, but not as good as it could have been.

Alyce – Pretty girl in a pretty location looking prettily off to one side.  It’s pretty, but nothing striking.

Rebecca – She so does not impress me.  Yes, it’s a pretty picture, but of a senior-portrait type quality, rather than a fashion magazine quality.  She’s not even really doing anything, besides looking at the camera with a half-interested type stare.  Yawn.

Alexandra – Yikes.  She looks possessed.  And I’m quite certain that was not the look they were going for.  I’m kind of afraid to look at it, for fear that she’ll start foaming at the mouth and lunge at me.
