An Introduction to the Girls of AusNTM4

For those of you just tuning in as we move on from ANTM’s finale last week, Australia’s Next Top Model has now been narrowed down to nine remaining girls.

Alamela - The mature, somewhat serious social outcast of the house, of whom the judges are quite fond.  As a very petite, yet strong redhead, she has a unique look that they seem to really like.

Alexandra – The cool, calm, collected girl with the big bangs and strong face who has thus far done very well for herself in the competition.

Alyce – The girl whose confidence often comes off as arrogance and whose enthusiasm is seen as borderline cutthroat.  Her photos and strong walk have served her well, but the judges don’t seem to appreciate her attitude.

Caris – The somewhat emotional girl whose body is not nearly as tone as the judges would like, but who continues to take photos that land her in the top of the call-out order.

Demelza – The fiesty girl who was seen as the “ringleader” in an attack against Alamela last week.  Her photos have been beautiful, but as the youngest girl in the group (at age 16), she often comes off as being quite immature.

Jamie – The second-guessing blonde who seems to struggle the most with her photo shoots.  Though a natural beauty, she hasn’t been able to pull off any really fabulous photos.

Leiden – The “alternative” girl this cycle, who has absolutely no modeling background whatsoever.  She has struggled with her photo shoots and has struggled to deal with the pressures of the house, and is at this point the definite underdog in this competition.

Rebecca – The natural beauty whom the judges think is just getting by on her looks and isn’t quite catching on to the modeling aspect of the competition.  She’s also one of the girls that was involved in the attack on Alamela last week.

Samantha – The somewhat exotic-looking, quiet girl who has been improving the most up until this point.  Her early struggles seemed to be due to a lack of self-confidence, but as she received the first call-out last week, things are definitely looking up for her.

And so we wait for our next episode, wondering:  Will the girls really back off and let Alamela be?  Will Leiden be able to handle another week in the house?  Will Jamie figure out what she needs to do to get a good picture?  And who will be eliminated next?
